We prefer short (1-3 paragraph) story proposals, before we consider finished pieces. We don’t accept work that has been published elsewhere: blogs, Facebook and more. If you post this work anywhere, prior to submitting to us and/or after The Indian Trumpet has published your work, we reserve the right to pull the story from our editorial line-up without your consent.
Pitches and finished pieces should be grammatically correct, carry quotes from genuine sources and written
to suit the style of our magazine and interests of our readers. Please have a look at our editions to get a sense of the magazines’ style. Photos and photo essays should include captions.
We are an English publication; 90% English, 10% Hindi (and occasionally other Indian languages)content. If you use words in Hindi or any other language other than Hindi: make it a point to offer an English explanation in the brackets for the benefit of our global readers.
All stories must be submitted electronically as Microsoft Word attachments. Photos may be sent electronically as .JPG or .TIF files: Hi-Res300 dpi.

If we like your pitch then you will hear from us within ten working days.
Note: Each piece should include the following: Your name, e-mail address, short biography (100 words) and your image (.JPG). We don’t offer remuneration for the submissions.
